Laura Alejandra Ariza Orellano is a Physician (2008) with a master’s degree (2010) in Physiology and Pharmacology by Institute of Biological Sciences of the Federal University of Minas Gerais and Ph.D. in General and Clinical Pathology (2019) by the Faculty of Medicine of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Currently, she is a Senior Post-doctor at the UMass Chan Medical School, in the Pathology Department. Her research focused on NLRP-3 inflammasome activation by particles as monosodium urate and cholesterol crystals. She also is working with alarmins able to enhance immune response</p>
