Juan S Barajas-Gamboa is a Colombian-Born physician scientist. He received this Medical Doctor degree with honors from the Universidad Autonoma de Bucaramanga. He completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in clinical and translational research at the UCSD Moores Cancer Center followed by a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Minimally Invasive Surgery, Robotic and Bariatric surgery at the UCSD Center for the Future of Surgery. He has already authored a clinical textbook of surgical pathology, authored several book chapters of robotic and bariatric surgery, and has had several peer-reviewed publications in high impact factor medical journals including the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), Cancer Research and Surgical Endoscopic. Moreover as a testament of his devotion to research, he serves as a reviewer, editorial board member, associate editor and senior editor for several international medical journals.
