Dr Kamran Zargar-Shoshtari graduated from the University of Otago in New Zealand. Following his internship he conducted full time clinical research, focusing on strategies to improve care following major abdominal surgery. Dr Zargar-Shoshtari completed urological training in New Zealand and Australia and was awarded Fellowship of Royal Australasian college of Surgeons (FRACS). Following this he received further training in genitourinary oncology at Moffitt cancer center, in Tampa, Florida.

His research interests include various aspects of urologic oncology in particular treatment of bladder and penile cancer.
