Hongxing Dai (born in August, 1964) is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, College of Environmental and Energy Engineering, Beijing University of Technology. Prof. Dai obtained his Ph.D. Degree in the Department of Chemistry at Hong Kong Baptist University in 2001. He has been a postdoctoral fellow in the University of California at Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Supervisors: Profs. A.T. Bell and E. Iglesia). Prof. Dai is now the Head of Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. Prof. Dai works on environmental catalysis, heterogeneous catalysis, photocatalysis, and nanoporous materials synthesis. Up to now, Prof. Dai has published over 350 articles in internationally renowned journals and two book chapters. He has given many keynote and invited lectures in various academic conferences. Professor Dai serves as the editorial board members of more than 20 international journals and as a reviewer of over 140 international journals.
